Welcome back to a new year at St. Joe's! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and is looking forward to an academically challenging year at school.

**Back-to-School Night is on Thursday Spetmeber 26, 2019 at 6:30 pm. I look forward to seeing you!**

 

Class Expectations:

In order to make the most of our education journey, each student is expected to come to class on time ready to both  learn and work. All students should maintain a clean and organized environment. Students will be mindful not to talk during class at inappropriate times.  All work is to be completed on time. Points will be deducted for late work and some late work may not be accepted at all. Parents should be connected to Class Dojo since that is the main form of communication. Students will respect each other and the classroom.

 

Communmication : Parents should be connected to Class Dojo since that is the main form of communication.  In the event of an emergency, please contact the main office.  Also, parents should be connected to PowerSchool to monitor student progress.

 

Homework: Homework will be posted in Google Classroom.  You can find the link in the class folder.

 

Water Bottles:  Students are permitted to bring in water bottles. If possible, please have students use clear, reusable, plastic bottles.  (Aluminum botles are very loud when the eventually fall on the floor.)

 

Grading Policy:

Please consult PowerSchool regularly to monitor student progress.

T1: 20% Tests, 20% Quizzes (lowest score is dropped), 20% Projects, 20% Homework (initialized at 100 & adjusted throughout the trimester based upon completeness), 20% Classwork

T2: 18% Tests, 18% Quizzes (lowest score is dropped), 18% Projects, 18% Homework (initialized at 100 & adjusted throughout the trimester based upon completeness), 18% Classwork, 10% Midterm

T3: 16% Tests, 16% Quizzes (lowest score is dropped), 16% Projects, 16% Homework (initialized at 100 & adjusted throughout the trimester based upon completeness), 16%Classwork  20% Final
